In the beginning of 2010, my new years resolution was about losing weight and eating healthy. I would manage to let go of white carbs and eat whole grain carbs, adding more servings of fruits and veggies to my meals. Sounds great right?!?! Well the question is...have I actually fallen through with it?!?! Not quite like I expected it to but I definitely started implementing whole grains, fruits and veggies in my life but I haven't been consistent about it. =( So after 8 months of going back and forth with fitness and eating healthy, I have actually gained weight. Two years ago I was weighing 135 lbs to be exact. I was in the process of planning my wedding and starting a new chapter in my life so I was actually able to lose the weight I gained while being the fiance for a whole year and a half (which i gained 15 lbs...ouch I know) =( So now I have been married for two years and I have definitely loss myself and have dropped the ball on being fit. Present day I am currently 22 lbs more heavier than I was two years ago. If I put everything together from the time I started to gain all this weight to present day...I have managed to gain a total of 32 lbs in four years! Writing this out makes me want to cry but enough of the crying, complaining and negativity comments I have made through out the years. All this is doing to me is crushing my self-esteem to the point where I just want to hide under my covers for a whole year and lose it by depression/stress. Now that won't be healthy, now would it?
I have tried everything out there, drinking the juice diet, weight watchers, working out with a group of people, going to the gym, you name it. It wasn't until a dear friend of mine introduced me to Zumba Fitness, all I have to say is where the heck was I that I didn't know about this a year or two ago?!?! Anyways I tried it out with her for a couple of weeks and I can say that I loved it. I am the type of girl that when I workout for an hour or two I don't sweat and if I do it takes me about 45 minutes to break one sweat. With Zumba I am sweating like a beast 10 minutes into the workout. =) So to make this post short I decided to purchase the Zumba fitness Total body transformation system DVD set. Which includes four dvd with six different types of workout and a guide to a healthier you. As of today Day # 1: 9/2/2010 I am working on losing a dress or pant size in 10 days by following their workout routine. So I will be posting my days as I go to give you guys a review about their product and if the results are indeed true. I will be also following their food plan. So I ask you to stay tuned and help me through these 365 days to a Better Me. I will try my best to post as often as possible regarding these workouts and the choices of food/meals. Below I will be posting my stats as of today. My next weigh in will be on Day #10 of my Zumba program...so stay tuned. =)

Sincerely,
